Oh and those little cards were awesome to I think she may have made those they are beautiful.....I am going to put them in a frame just cant bear to send them out in mail ....I like them for me .......imagine that wanting to keep something ....lol
The cards are made by shaving cream printing on paper but you can use fabric dyes to use on muslin for the same effect. Glad you liked it. Moosegirl
Moosegirl....can you elaborate a little on the shaving cream printing...thanks ...SG
Spread cheap men's shaving cream on a cookie sheet & flatten with a ruler, then add drops of dyna flo or fabric dye-use a comb or something to draw designs to spread the dye-(Marbling effect) place pre-treated muslin fabric on and gentle press into shaving cream-the fabric will absorb the dye pattern-the shaving cream will dissolve in a couple of hours-rinse and heat set. Lots of books out with more details instructions-check art sections or surface design. Moosegirl
Thanks so much Moosegirl...I think that would be fun to try doing that on material...but I'll have to look it up. I don't even know what pre treated (muslin) means....I've been wanting to do some painting on fabric...guess I'd better hit the library...hugs...SG

I just let Elly know that her little angel is on its way. This has been fun. Is the next one posted yet?

I posted earlier, but want to share a pic of the totally sweet little spring quilt I got from 978Gray! I just love the flowers, and the cute bee button. I sent hers off in the mail yesterday. What a great time I've had with my first swap.

That quilt is so awesome. I love the way the blending in the flowers looks so natural and the quilting is great. What a treasure you will have to keep for many years.
