They are beautiful. Pat put a couple beads on the threaded on a butterfly and a couple more beads ,looks like she glued the flower on the butterfly. It is really adorable. You need to start with about a 3 or 4 inch pin. A lot of us have started making them since seeing them on here. Good luck.

Lynnie right now it's on the island counter in my kitchen as décor. That's where everyone seems to gather at my home. (around the kitchen)lol After Easter it will go on the bookshelf in my sew room so I can admire it with all my goodies from different swap partners. I always have to take my swaps to the post office opened so my post master can see them before I mail them. She loves seeing the things we swap. There are only 2 people working in our little one room post office in my small town,so it's not a problem to show her.

Lawsonmugs what a beautiful Easter Basket and bunny with all the pretty pins and yummy candies. nhnative makes the prettiest baskets I have ever seen. I have the one from her for the Valentine's theme, and adore it. Everyone here is so talented. I haven't made any fancy pins yet either. I have to find me some that are long enough. I have some beads, but need to pick up some more to go with them.

Making the pincushions and needlebooks are so fun, and then seeing all the pictures is the next great thing about the swap.

Girls if I lived closer I would love meeting with you too, but I am a bit to far south. lol....

Lawsonmugs my post office is like yours, but we have a tiny branch down the road from us that has only one person working, and now only 2 hours per day, and a few hours on Saturday. I also show her what I send too, and she loves it. I like the big post offices, and what all they have to offer, but there is also something personal and charming about the little post offices too, where everyone knows everyone else. lol...

we have a post office in every town here. I guess they're medium sized. with 2-4 people working in the front. there's a lot of little business parks here on the island, so they need to be able to handle their mailings. I usually have a 10 minute wait at the p.o. They seem not to be friendly here, Hence the term, 'going postal'.

can't wait to see other goodies.

My city is about 50,000 and I have 2 post offices. I look on YouTube to see how they make the stickpins. That is where I saw the idea for the butterfly stickpin.

Susan I found my pins at Micheals and a few at wal-mart. I ordered some from hobby lobby online. These are like chocolate, very addictive. I love getting them and making them. I'm going to figure out some kind of display for just the pins that I receive.

My town has 2 thousand people over a very large area as we are way out in the country. I am almost 5 miles from town where the p.o. is.Only one person works our office at a time. They moved our delivery people to another town 15 miles away.

I love the butterfly pin you sent me! thank you.
I found little beads that look like mushrooms, red and white, really cute ones.
Walmart has great prices on the beads too, same a Joanns, but half the price.
they don't have as many and you have to hit it just right.

yeah our wal-mart don't have a lot of choice. But they are cheaper. I took apart some old jewelry too. Maybe we should check out second hand stores too. I go to the disabled Vets too.
