I just got a question from a swapper, so I am going to throw it out to all of you. She is thinking of a wrist pincushion and would need a measurement. So what do you think ladies? You could either post a number on the thread, or send it to me in a pm.

A wrist pin cushion is great too. I haVe seen such pretty ones online. I haven't measured, but will try to soon. Some use some fabric covered elastic, or some velcro that could adjust between some smaller wrists to wider bone wrists. But they may be making one that requires a specific measurement, so that's a good idea.
I use to order some things from Avon, and with some of their bracelets they would always have a size 7 or 8 unless they were stretchy that would say fits most. Well I always ordered the size 8 because I have arthritis, and my bones swell a lot.
I don't know if that helps or not. lol....

lynnie is already working on June I think. She keeps me on my toes trying to stay ahead of her with theme ideas!
I just measured myself and 7" would be a comfortable fit. That way it would fit high enough on my arm to not hit the wrist bone (in case the arthritis is flaring up)

actually, a lot of stones re one source only. Of course larimar, Russian chrome diopside (my favorite),Ethiopian opal, tanzanite just to name a few. that's what makes them rare. Larimar hasn't hit the general public , as most one source stones haven't. There usually isn't enough to go around, and when the general public gets wind of something as beautiful as larimar, then the price goes sky high. Look what happened to tanzanite. I try to buy b4 it goes 'public' and within the first few yrs after it gets discovered. some others that are cheap and pretty are rhodochrosite and sugalite. not as nice as larimar, of course. I'm a terrible rock hound, and was in jewelry for over 25 yrs. I also collect stones and sand from all over the world. this is just an extension of it. If you want a cheap/great place to buy, let me know.
