Met up with our hostess, Ctyankee/Pamela yesterday. She is even sweeter in person than online! Pamela met me & 4 buddies from my NYC Bee at the Bruce Museum in Greenwich, Ct. The exhibit of story quilts organized by Quilters of Color is extraordinary. Of course, we went out to lunch and found a LQS ! Fabulous day!

Terriamn I am glad you brought up some of the ideas we might think of. I would love to hear if others have some. I thought of tea, tea party, coffee and cake, coffee and pie, little jar of homemade preserves as a gift to take away, and I am still thinking.

More hospitality: pillow with chocolate on it ( at one of the retreats they did this and some of the gals didn't turn lights on so as not to wake their roommate and woke up with chocolate smeared in hair and face ) welcome sign, name tags and towels rolled into figurines.

terriamn -- that is too funny! Chocolate in your hair! Hahaha! That would be me, I'm sure! You're coming up with great ideas, & I'm sure you're a big help to anyone who needs a little push in the right direction. I was afraid to say too much about it, because I didn't want to stifle anyone's creativity, but you're on a roll & getting everyone's creative juices flowing!
