Hi Ladies,

Yep,it was supposed to be the beach so glad I got it recognisable. Love your runner sue and it does remind of watermelon. I'm going to attempt making that pattern today....after I've made the lime and ginger marmalade that I prepared yesterday from my freshly picked limes.

You made a beautiful runner m-fay, I love the water colors. I have an order for a quilt, large king, from my CPA and he wants it all scrappy ( like grandma would have made) he said. Between yesterday and today I've gone through every blue fabric I have in this house and was able to cut out 169 5" squares with no repeats. It will end up about 110 X 110". Just know now I have got to downsize big time.....way to much fabric here. It's keeping me busy waiting for the Boom blocks to arrive and my new table runner.

Gosh, the runners are all so pretty. m-fay, the beach is a perfect reminder of summer. I'd call this Christmas in July!
Your new runner is also very pretty. Some day I'll have to try this pattern.

It is brown lawsonmugs. and here's the lime & Ginger recipe Lime Ginger Marmalade
Ingredients:- 6 large limes
1 ½ litres (6 cups)water
7 cups sugar (approx)
2 teaspoons freshly grated ginger.
Method:- 1.Combine limes in bowl with water, cover, stand overnight.
2.Transfer mixture to large boiler, simmer, covered, about 1 hour or until rind is tender ( I simmer 1 hour & rind is tender)
3.Measure fruit mixture, allow I cup sugar to each 1 cup of fruit mixture.
4.Return fruit mixture and sugar to the boiler, stir, without boiling, over high heat, until sugar is dissolved.
5.Boil rapidly, uncovered, without stirring, about 15 minutes or until a teaspoon of mixture jells when tested on a cold plate.
(I stand over it at this stage & turn heat down if it looks like boiling over. I’ve never had a batch that didn’t jell after boiling 15 minutes)
6. Stir in ginger, cool 10 minutes before pouring into hot sterilized jars., Seal while hot.
Makes about 8 cups….not suitable to freeze or microwave.
