In Australia, hot cross buns are traditional breakfast food on Good friday, toasted with butter.

Hot cross buns have religious significance in the USA too but would have to research the exact meaning.

I am the lucky recipient of a runner from Caroline. It is a wonderful long braid in summer saturated color. Thank you C. It is so cool on my table. She also sent me some little clips and fat quarters, one sweet cats and the other with a picnic theme. Thank you so much Caroline.
