Thank you all for the nice compliments! Mary it is regular binding, sewn on the front. I have to turn it to the back and then hand sew. Just didn't have it done yet Looks a little different with the "curl" to it, probably because it is done on the bias. Much easier to turn for the round corners.
The runner is called "Spicy Spiral" and I used a 10 degree angle ruler on these.

Hope all goes well with your knee sue. And I am going to challenge myself to do a spiral one too. Do I need a patter or just cut out on a 10 degree angle ? Better still watch a tutorial on utube

You need a pattern to follow for the length of the strips and how wide to cut each one. This isn't a regular angle ruler, it's 25" long and divided into 1/4" segments. You might want to google it and to make one a little smaller you can use a 9 degree ruler also.

I would like to use these fabrics in a table runner. Does anyone have a problem with the plain bright red? It would only be a little bit of red. If so, I might be able to find a darker red. The third color is an off white. Please give me your opinions. Thanks!
