I love the fairy block. The silhouette is wonderful. Was that raw edge applique? That's going to be a great quilt.
Libster that block is raw edge applique. However instead of using a blanket/applique stitch (see Billi's cat block) I FMQ around the edges 3-5 times. It looks like a satin stitch. This block did take a long time.

MJP I'm glad you liked the fairy block. The fairy is an embroidery from my embroidery machine. I have done a lot of raw edge appliqué & love to do that too. I really liked the raw edge applique block you did for Libster. Very pretty!

Muse: I pondered about getting an embroidery machine and then decided against it. Your square is making me regret it a little bit.
I didn't do all those blocks at once. Those have been collected over a week or two. I just hate taking the photos and posting.

The first one is from Judy's Mystery Train 16 so I don't know the name. The second is called 9" star in my book, adjusted for 12 1/2".
