Last bonus block for sewbiz girl. The background is light pink. I'll mail tomorrow Janice. Sewbiz someday I hope we can meet and talk exercise and quilts. You're the only person I know who shares these two interests with me.
I did the handwork for this while I was teaching my almost 95 year old NY mom to use an IPad. After 3 days she could pay bills online, transfer money into her checking account, do Facebook, do email, use the internet to search for things and talk to Siri. She did most of these things on her now broken computer but the transfer to IPad wasn't easy. After the first day she told me 'now I know what hell is like'. I reminded her I'd be back in the summer and my older sister would be there in May to give her a refresher. She informed me 'I'm not buying any green bananas' anymore. She has been emailing me on the iPad so I know she's been using it.

I want to take this time to thank all of you boomers for the help and encouragement to a newbie. I'm definitely a tentative piecer and your support made this boom fun. Frankly ladies I'm getting the better end of this boom deal. I love all the blocks you made for me.
Special thanks to travelingrandma for her private encouragement and to Janice for making things easy for us.
Unfortunately the the county fair won't work for me as there isn't enough time between I get your blocks back and when the entries are due. Maybe next year.

MJP, THANKS for the bonus block! It's really cool. Love all the fabrics you put together in it. You have such great ideas.
Your mom sounds like a hoot... the green bananas
. She sounds like one smart cookie if she can learn all that stuff on an Ipad. My hubby can't do it and he's only in his 60's. And YES I'd love to be able to get together and talk shop about teaching fitness and quilting. Maybe we'll be at the same quilt show one day... or the same yoga workshop! ![Wink](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/wink.png)
I hope you enjoyed your first Boom experience and will be back again. We all certainly enjoyed working with your cute fabric. Piecing is something you just get better at, the more you do it. Your applique is a real treat, tho.

Oh great, glad to hear that, I had not much at all left and nothing near the size you needed.

Love that 'boxed squares' design, Terri! So cute. You did well to get that much done at your retreat.
I'm starting to get really excited about going to the Paducah show. It's going to be my birthday gift to myself. Cant wait to see all the lovely quilts that make me feel like 'chopped liver' as a quilter.
Inspiration, right? I do love to see stuff that I wouldn't ever do... but someone else has done it. Also love to peruse all the vendors. I might spend more time test driving some longarms this time, just to get more knowledgeable about what's out there. And I love walking the adorable town of Paducah. Hope the weather is pretty.
Have a great day, everyone! Soon we'll have all our pretty blocks in our hands.
