Okay Caroline, now you have me wondering what on earth I will do for the swap after this one! Hmmm! There are lots of things I haven’t tried, but that’s because so far, I’ve been a scaredy cat to try them! Lol

Sue that is exactly what is so good about this swap. It's only a small item and it gives us a chance to explore and try new things. But since we give it away we try harder. You can do it scaredy cat. LOL. We all have things we want to try but hesitate. I'm not sure about the one after the next either. So we will do this together. Lets all just have fun as usual.

MMMMM I know what you mean. I've been practicing kaleidoscopes which I plan to do this time, that's new for me but "pushing the boundaries" is as you say, northern sue, is to attempt to do something you've been too scared to try. I think I can hear "paper piecing " calling me! I was the lucky recipient one time of a beautiful one ube did called apple blossom. It looks hard...now to find the pattern on the internet if I can.

This freestyle will be fun but I am wondering about the next one too. I have done so many different techniques over the years. Paper piecing, EPP, curves, applique, strip piecing, miniatures and on and on.

m-fay, The apple blossome pattern is called

    Apple Leaf Runner Topper
    by Rebecca Ruth Designs

    Pattern # RRD 408.

    Greenleaf Publishing, Inc.

This was a fun PP project and ideal for beginner skills in PPing. It would look great in any seasonal fabrics.

Thanks Ube. I did find it at the time. All my searching yesterday found one called beacon lights but I just love those scattered leaves.

Oh, the Rebecca Ruth fish runner is cool. I like that one in the circular pattern.

    Hi Guys,

I received the most fabulous table runner from Sue on Saturday.... it is amazing. She also sent two matching blocks (which I will turn into cushions) a fat quarter and some fabulous sewing room buttons. I love the goodies, but I am overwhelmed with the runner.
