Louise - JE is LOL funny - I love her books. I donated my books to a gal that's opening a used book store - wish I still had them to pass on to other board members. I have yet to listen to audio book - I'm not sure I would get anything done as I would more than likely focus on the story. The older I get the easier I'm distracted by nonsense.

some public libraries have an online audio book department in which you can listen to books at home while say doing chores or sewing (machine or hand). i just crank my laptop speakers up and enjoy.

Okay I am WAYyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy Behind on here... First need to Thank Krystyna for the beautiful Ladybug Birthday Cake, I just loved it... I had typed her a very long message last night in answer to a note she wrote me and all of a sudden it went ...ALL GONE..... I have had one heck of a week... and today was no different... Went to get my hair cut and done and spent time saying " Have a safe trip" to a Special friend who has MDDS (google that if you want to know what it is) Then I went and worked on some ornaments for Christmas and came home and calls from the rest of the family with Birthday wishes... I did get a Wonderful Surprise Birthday gift from Mary L... An old old old Quilt, I'd asked her to keep an eye out for one for me and it is just beautiful, soiled spots and worn spots... a Well loved quilt.. Just love it.. Am going to try and find some material to replace the two blocks that are shredded Need to get some pictures take so you can see them ... Also Krystyna sent me an RAK of Christ material got that yesterday, need to take pictures of that... Thanks to all of you for the Birthday wishes know you all mean alot to me... and I do care...
Before I loose this post am going to say God Bless and write a few other Thank you's I need to get out... God Bless

I'm sad to say that I will not be able to the May swap and probably the June one as well. I am moving at the end of this month to Kingman. With my health being what it is and my DH's disability this will be a very difficult move. On top of that I will now be 3 1/2 hours away from my kids and grandkids. I'm not really liking this but will have to make the best of the situation. Not much in the way of shopping there either. Their one and only quilt shop is a joke. But I hear there are really nice quilt shops in Vegas and I will be 1 1/2 hours away. I will stop by and visit. I will be getting internet after we get up there so I will still be able to keep in touch. I will really miss doing the swap. I love putting packages together for my SP's, But hopefully I will be able to use some of this time after I get moved to get some small projects done for future swaps.

Mary - I go online to my local library find the audiobooks on CD
that I want to listen to they will come in from one of 10-15 libraries
around the area, IF they do not have it then I go to the "prospector"
which is interlinked with about 30+ (more on the plus side) other
libraries from around the state, IF by chance none of them has what
I am looking for than I branch out to ILL (inter library loan) that USUALLY
will net me the audiobook I am looking for.

However there are some that I just can not get no matter what I try
because they either have not been released in audiobook/cd, or they
    could be to old.

But not matter HOW I get my audiobooks I "rip" them down to MP4
format for my iPod and I listen to my books. Since July 2009 I have
listened to OVER 400 audiobooks, and some of them are REPEATS
because I liked them just that much.

dabbler - I LOVE audiobooks because not only does it "free" up my
hands to allow me to do other things such as multitask with sewing,
cooking or whatever. Even at work since I do not have to answer any
phones I get "lost" in my own little world of a book and work my fingers
    off.

Both my bosses made the comment that they have come to talk to me
a few times only to discover that I didn't hear a word they said because
I was working at top speed.

Another MAIN reason I love audiobooks is because you can "hear" the
"tone of voice" in the story, sometimes it is hard to imagine what the
exact (or the right) t.o.v. should be, but with audios you can actually
hear sadness, laughter, anger or whatever the case is.

I HIGHLY recommend you try the Grand Finale by J.E. but just remember
if you do try it to be sure to go to the bathroom BEFORE you start.

Oh yeah Mary I found a larger bottle of that Best Press so I am going on
the hunt for a small spray bottle this weekend and I will send you a small
"trial" size bottle to try to see how it works for you.

Here's the shirt tissue holder I made and let me tell you, I found a part of the instructions to be a tad confusing so I just looked at the pic to figure it out. Not sure I'll be making anymore of these......

Here are a couple pictures of the quilt Mary L sent me for my Birthday, ( I'd asked her to keep an eye out for an old quilt so I could use it in projects, this one will be repaired) Also enclosing a pic of the material I need to repair two blocks, if anyone has anything like it... please let me know..

OK, I REALLY HATE to sound like a dumb a$$ here, but I have never "repaired" a quilt before so how exactly is that done when it's already sewn together and quilted? Inquiry minds want to know.
