I am back! doing ok for now which is a lovely thing. I should get one more month out of this new port and that is a gift I can take!
I missed you guys. I do have one thing to say. I was too hard on one person who was late. They were sick and I was tough on her and I owe her a huge apology. so to Bettygee I hope you see this and hope you know I never ever meant to hurt your feelings or make you feel bad for being sick. I would love nothing more than to see you find forgiveness of me and to rejoin our group but understand if you don't. I simply didn't put two and two together. Your being ill and the late package. Your partner didn't get that message correctly either and therefore was unhappy on her end. I blew it. I am so sorry.

And it takes a " big girl" to admit she was wrong, and apologize for it..especially publicly..
We're all human, sweetz...and make mistakes.
Psychomomquilter,
I love me some YouTube videos... and tutorials I find here and elsewhere. And blogs about crafting and quilting...
My only problem with them is I spend ahem, a LOT of time looking at them...I see all of the beautiful items being made...I think to myself, "Self, you CAN surely make that!". But then "Self" has a rough time with follow through...
and I don't know why my stuff doesn't look as pretty as the stuff I've seen??!!
Welcome Lucky_alf2! I too was a long-time lurker..hard to believe with how much I talk now, but it's true...lol
Happy to have you "officially" join us!
Regards,
Kif

Welcome back, Brat... good to hear from you. Glad they got you fixed up.
Welcome Lucky_alf2. Mug rugs are a great way to try out quilting techniques and patterns, on a small scale. They are fun and go together pretty quickly. Can't wait to see what you come up with for your first one.
Cactus Stitchin, have you opened your box from me yet? Open that thing! You don't have to wait til you mail mine. I'm dying to see if you like it.

I finally opened my beautiful mug rug and swap package from my partner sewbizgirl. I love it and boy did she nail it for me! The clues she got were I drink coffee and herbal teas; I love all bright and happy colors, especially purple; I am mostly a homebody and love my sewing room most of all. The mug rug is "sew" creative and it suits me perfectly! The pincushion is great and I will be very happy to trade in my standard "red tomato" for this one. It even has a target red heart with "Here" printed on it for me to aim for. The purple fat quarter is great and I will be very happy to add it to my stash although I am already making plans for it's first appearance in a project. Thank you so much sewbizgirl as I sit here sipping Lemongrass tea! Yum!

P.S. Yes, this does mean that I mailed my mug rug package this morning and it should arrive on Friday.

Cactus, love your sewing theme. sew sweet.
Kiffie, seems you've been around as long as me.
For the first four yrs, I didn't have a computer.
i'd go to the library once or twice a weeks to see what was up.
but these last two years, I've been living here. Love it here too
as you can see by my ammt of msgs.
