I second that!!! I am leaving for NC tomorrow night to see my new granddaughter, my grandson and my daughter & SIL. Can't wait!!

BTW = Here's the adorable redwork quilt that Ms. Grace sent me for this month's swap. Isnt it just amazing? Beautiful fabrics, and the machine embroidery is really pretty!!! Thanks, Jean...I just couldn't be happier.

I have her quilt in the works, but in the rush to get ready for my trip it'll have to be completed when I get back. I have it all in my head now, so it'll go quickly. Thanks for your patience, Jean, and I know it'll be worth the wait!! :-)

    Janice,
I'm so glad that you got it before you left.
I had so much fun making it. Happy that you are pleased with it.
No hurry on your end. Have a safe trip. :-)
Thanks Jean!! I do love your little quilt...my friend loves redwork and she's gonna be green with envy when she sees it!!! LOL

MegsAnn: One of the good reasons to do the doll quilt swaps is to figure out what you like and what you don't like. Yours looks good. I didn't like my rag quilt when I made it either. It killed my hands doing all of that cutting. Kudos to you for trying something new.

jljack: Beautiful Redwork quilt that Ms. Grace made. One day I would like to try that.

    Linda

That's right! Good thing I tried this method on a DQ instead of a larger piece. I would've quit cutting halfway through, I bet.

I have been remiss in posting a picture. I did send cajunquilter2 a PM, but have been so busy with the start of the school year that I didn't get around to posting here. Sorry!

I received some lovely goodies and a really nice quilt from my swap partner. I am going to enjoy everything she sent. My daughter wants to help me secure my bobbins (that the cats like to knock across the floor!) and I am looking forward to a yummy cup of coffee this weekend!

Here are the pictures... (if I were someone else... I would be envious...   ) Thank you cajunquilter2!!!

Look at all the cute little "babies"!!
I've still not started mine, but will hopefully get to it this weekend and have it out. Don't know why I'm behind, I've usually got 1 or 2 already done and ready to go...

Here is my creative quilt from Jetnica, aka Purple Turtle!. I have to hang this properly to appreciate the pinwheels. This generous quilter did 2 doll quilts and then headed back to teach school. Bet her students love her!

    Batiks for me!
