Gosh everyone's quilts are so amazing. I sure hope my partner likes the one I sent, it's kind of plain in comparison. But now I have a lot of ideas for next time!

AmyBaby--Never second guess yourself--what you make in the moment is who you are at that moment. Yes it's okay to step out of your sewing box, but at the same time I think it's important to remain true to your quilting self. But then I have had several years (ha ha) to develop my quilting self! Your next quilt will be who you are at that time.

That's kinda cute... because SOMETIMES those that you think are more complex get the idea of simple for their next quilt. Cool thing about this doll quilt swap is that we can experiment, streeeeeeeeeeeeeetch into new realms and rely on plain/simple/sweet... anything goes. It is the heart that counts on this swap! :-D

I mailed Patti Sue's DQ this morning. I was able to try 2 new things, Yo Yo's and machine quilting. I'm definitely going to need more machine quilting practice :) It was fun to make. I already have something new to try for next month. It's fun learning new techniques and not having to commit to a large quilt.
