Thanks for taking a picture of the center. I'd not think of doing that with Yoyo's. I don't like to do them but that looks so great I might have to rethink them.
That's one of the fun things about the DQ swap, it leads us to other directions in our craft/art.

We had a great little chat and what fun to swap international. Took just under 2 weeks for them to get to their destinations. Thanks for being such a great swapper, Lyn, and another new friend all because of the DQ swap!
I love the dots ....wow .....that is so cute .......just makes me smile its so cute

Here is the gorgeous DQ from oksewglad. It was so much fun opening them at the same time in Live Chat, something I have never done before. Pity I had to cut it short because of work :(

I just love it Gladie and she also sent me some fabrics and a itty bitty mug rug. And she now knows where Tasmania is :) (and how close to the Antarctica we are) :) :)

Oksewglad, did you like your roo poo paper??? Made with genuine Kangaroo Poo !!!

Wow, I am in awe of all the beautiful quilts that are being swapped each month. We are an amazing bunch of quilters aren't we ! :)

I look at each one and think I want to try that pattern... I would love some of that fabric... I want to be able to machine quilt that good... how did she come up with that idea... my mind just spins :)

Lyn, had little Elise (5 yo) in the house tonight. We got the globe out, found Taz ( and NZ--her folks have dear friends there). We looked at the little booklet-she thinks you live in a pretty place and giggled when I showed her the roopoo paper! I'm so glad you like everything! Just to let you know if anyone wants to see how I made the pineapple blocks go to this inspired by kellen46. She planted a quilt seed and now it's grown! Page three has the PDF of Lyn's version. Now I'm working on another idea.

thanks for the link Gladie. Might have to try that pattern now :)

I took everything to work so I could really look at everything closely, everyone loved the quilt and the mugrug - had to make sure that didn't disappear :)

I really love all the recent quilts. The yo-yo center is a great idea!

And, Gladie, your's is a masterpiece, too! Did you PP the blocks?
OK-I see your post and read about it-thanks!

Mrs.Cotton Theory, what is the cotton theory and is your quilt an example of it? It's very lovely!!

Needlegrammy, the mailman was extra nice to me today. Sent a pm to thank you. I received your package and the doll quilt is beautiful. What an outstanding job you did. The colors are cherry and welcoming, the quilting is fantastic. The extra goodies were unexpected but very much appreciated. As I mentioned in the pm, I think you were short changed for this swap. My quilt by comparison is small, applique not so good and the quilting almost non existent. Again, thank you so much.
