Wow - did a lot of reading to catch up tonight! Today Claire and I went on day one of our first ever shop hop. We had lots of fun and took a picture of us in front of every shop (6). Four more tomorrow. Kids 5-14 get entered in a drawing to win a sewing machine if they go to all the stores. Claire wants that so badly - hers bit the dust (I want it for her, because now she uses mine!)

I can tell I'm going to have a hard time keeping up with you all - please know it is not a lack of desire, but rather some difficult circumstances here. Little one having a real tough time with life right now. I need to read up on FASD, and yet I get frustrated/sad/fearful when I do. Ugh.

Thanks, Karen, for the swap names. Mine is done; Claire's is not. AND THANK YOU for Claire's surprise package - the flip flop pin cushion. Soooooooo adorable. Will get a picture up this weekend, but not tomorrow morning since we are off again at the crack of dawn. Love to all! Hope you are feeling okay, Susan! Oh, and beautiful red work and Christmas ornaments everyone!

Lynnie if I ever learn to make socks I will make you some. I love socks around the house, and any kind of cozy footsies or whatever you call them.

Peg it is good to see you on here, but we know you are busy with different things with your family. Hope you and Claire have fun on your hop.

I hate to admit it, but my air conditioner stays too cool. I need to up the temperature some to help keep my bill down.

TOOMANYUFOS I am the one that exchanged presents with your daughter a couple of years back on the Christmas Exchange. The big one they have each year, but it's the only time I was on it. Wait, no it wasn't, because me and my husband were both on one later. lol.. I had made her a pincushion in a little mexican style tea cup I had, and sent her a poodle ornament in high heels, and a poodle card. lol.. It was fun.

It seems funny that the ones that live where it's really hot keep their AC temps in the 80's and the ones that live in the north keep theirs lower. I only put mine on when I get home about 2 and then I put it on 72 and 73 when I go upstairs and then shut it off about 10. My first floor is so cold by then but my upstairs bedroom is not so when I shut the ac off I put my ceiling fan on.

I did make one pincushion and haven't started on the rest of what I'm making. I can't decide what fabric to use. I was sent that chicken tute from a friend. I never go on that website.

As for the clams I only eat fried clams. When I was younger and we had lobsters I used to eat the steamers but not now. I still love REAL seafood. I would be great to eat just caught.

    Everyone have a great day

Claire is such a pretty young girl. I hope she win too, she deserves it. if she doesn't you could always get her a cheap one at walmart for $89. it's fairly basic, but does the job.
dh left house without the pkg, so as you can tell by the date stamp, it's to late today, but will go out first thing Monday am. i'm not happy about that, you all know i'm an early shipper.
Love that flip flop pc. Peg, what do you get for doing the shop hop???

JuneBilllie, that was the only swap she has done. I actually did it for her. She had a bad year and I wanted an extra surprise for her around Christmas time. I thank you for all the times you have asked how she is doing. I think the poodle ornament is packed away in the christmas decorations.
I think I am going to make a few beaded pins. I assume you glue the beads on, if so what type of glue do you use?

Claire is just so cute and what a great flip flop pincushion. Karen that is too cute. I love going on Shop Hops. The next one here is Sept 10. I hope she does win the sewing machine and I hope you get lots of goodies. I did a few yard sales and then it started to rain and I saw these deer and got the pic. Twins and they were so cute.
