I recall the hippos the most sitting in the water and opening that huge mouth. always scared the heck out of me as a kid lol. I think reds and pink flamingos they had this big pond near the snack booth at the SF zoo. and in that pond were dozens of beautiful flamingos. loved sitting there and watching them while the kids ate their hot dogs. yup... flamingos would be good. so start thinking zoo and what your best memories of it are. do you think eucalyptus trees? big scent at the sf zoo! or do you think palm trees? or birds or lions tigers and bears oh my! petting zoos? get creative lets see what you come up with!
    I enjoy your musings.
i am sending my info tonight for August.

the cost of shipping is not horrible and its promotes goodwill with other members in foreign countries to partner with someone from out of the US. Plus its a great way to get to know someone you might never meet so please consider joining with the a partner from out of country. If you keep what you send to a light token gift the shipping is not too bad. Please consider you need to mail yours by the 20th minimum because shipping is very very slow.

sign ups still open come on over and join in the fun! send ctyankee your information asap with all your information included with it. Name, address, city/state and phone number in case needed by Elisabrat to make sure you properly signed up! that's all it takes!!!!!

You can "muse" all you want Linda. Suggestions are just idea's that I may have never thought of.....or thought of and just didn't want to do it All's good! at least for me.
I ended up with 2- 1st place and 1- 2nd place ribbon on the quilts that I entered in the fair....plus learned a bunch more on how they judge. All n all, a good year

Jaba, I have admired your work for a long time (color and pattern selection), piecing and then the quilting. I said to my self that when I grow up I want to be just like Jaba. In one post somewhere, I realized I am OLDER than you so that thought and dream went out the window. Congratulations on you wins.

Looking forward to getting a partner! I guess we will know sometime this week. I would prefer not to be paired up with someone doing two swaps. (Being one of two does not make me feel special....) :P

Congrats Jaba! You always do wonderful work!

I noticed dotcomdtcm is on the list twice, is that for 2 mugrugs?

Brat you can chime in anytime about ANYTHING, I love reading your snippets or "Bratisms" as I like to call them.
