Hi all,
I have heard from JuneBillie and she says she wants to see the postcard I made for her.
I am in hopes of making her a replacement card tomorrow. It was my plan to do so last night while hubby was out fishing with a friend for a few hours but dd called and said she and the gs were in town at the market and would I like them to stop in. Yes, please! And today we had him for the entire day so Poppa and I are settling down for supper and some quiet time-alone together. What an oxymoron, eh?
This is my spin on our State bird, the chickadee, and in the corner is our state flower, the pine cone and tassel.
So without further ado...
Best,
deb in Maine

I used pink beads in the tail. Unfortunately to get the color I wanted, they aren't the really nice glass beads that I prefer. But, they are pretty, and the right scale and color. And, bonus, I already had them at home.

Nan62, here is the picture, finally. Am I the slowest swap partner ever??? Sorry, about that. You have made this such a fun swap, it's my first, too, so thank you!!!! I just realized I did not get the DVD Les Miserable in the picture. That was one of the other gifts in the package. I've been looking around for some kind of basket, bowl, etc. to display my postcards in. I haven't settled on anything, so I think I'll keep this on my dining room buffet for now. I hope I can participate in Sept's swap, although I'll wait until I get the postcard finished before I officially join. Thanks, Nan62, so are SO sweet. ![Smile](https://cdn.quiltingboard.com/images/smilies/smile.png)
I've loved seeing all the postcards. You are all so creative.
**Arghhh!! I can't get the picture to upload. I'll keep trying and post when I can.

Cindy, what a darling postcard. Cute little birds. You know Cindy, Sign ups are up for September and you have until the 20th of the month to mail. So, feel free to sign up when you want. Sign ups close the end of August and then I assign the names for the following month.

nana20010 what I think about in the month of October is all the leaves changing colors so then I know fall is upon me and I also like Pumpkins and the stacking of the corn stalks it also lets me know I need to start stocking up on candy for the little gremlins, pirates, princesses etc. that will be coming on Halloween. I am open for whatever my partner wants to do I can do fall or Halloween.
