I've sometimes thought of making bayberry candles. But then I came to my senses. Bayberry is abundant in our seaside dunes. In colonial times, when candles were needed for illumination, families would come to the shore in the fall to set up candle making camp for a couple of weeks. They picked bushels of the berries and boiled them in huge vats for many hours to extract the wax. It takes about 15 lbs of berries to make one pound of wax. Any takers? I'll show you where they grow. What fun!

    Hav, I love candles!

I shopped for my SP yesterday and hope I got what she wanted. I couldn't find where it was written and I asked the ladies at the LQS..they assured me this was what she meant!!

Now for a dumb question...where can I find "Forums"?

Question.. if a pattern says child size 1/2, 1, 2, 3, 4.. what age child will that fit? haha Apparently you don't learn these things until you cultivate such a creature.

you almost really need to measure the child to get what size pattern to use. my one niece is 5 yr old and i think her measurements was a size 3 pattern though she wears a size 5t/6t clothing. i was going to make her a couple of dresses but she told me she didn't like dresses. oh well.
