You know, I was watching the Weather Channel and they were broadcasting from Long Beach, NY. That is where Krystyna lives, on Long Island. Hopefully she has left that area and is somewhere safe. Has anyone heard from her?

Wow it sure has been a busy couple of weeks! I have really missed my QB time this month. My baby brother(and his wife) were in town for a family memorial service and to have an opportunity to go through Dad's house one last time. DB lives in CA and only seems to visit for funerals. We are getting ready to sell Dad's house, so I have to try to sort out all the stuff Dad didn't take to the retirement village. Then this week Marlys was in town from Montana, her daughter goes to Kent State. That required some serious quilt shop time! In between I was looking for a job. All this in the midst of a major fibro/arthritis flare. I had nearly 40 pages to read on this topic alone. Well I did get online briefly to let Lori know that I mailed out my packages, even though they did go out a day late. One package has already been received, and I got a very nice thank you PM. The other package had to go way down under and should be there very, very soon.

Praying for Krystyna and anyone else who may be in Irene's path, stay safe.

Made it through the first half of Irene. They say the winds and rain will pick up again around 9:00. We were lucky so far no real damage. I still have to check on my girlfriend who lives near the river and on my youngest who lives in a trailer.
