It might still be plaid, but it is quite cute. I like the way it forms a pattern. So next month, you can send it to me. LOL! Can you play a bit with the zigzag stitch adjustment? I mean try to lengthen it a tiny bit and then adjust the width a bit. I played with mine for a while before I got just what I wanted and made my needles and machine work happily together.

Yeah, I am doing that with the rug. I was too engrossed in trying to keep it together that I didn't even THINK about making the zig-zag bigger...duh.

Part of the problem with the rug is I decided I wanted to see if I could make the stitching less visible so I'm trying clear thread on the top and it's slow going to get it right!

    Sarah,
How did you get the bowl to curve up so nicely, great job!

Now that might have been beginners luck! LOL
Actually, I was sewing slowly so I could adjust that stitch, so after the bottom was big enough, I just did a slight tip to begin the climb. After each round, I'd tilt a touch more. After about 3 rows around I had it on it's side--it made it blend smoother to me. (Thanks, don't tell anyone, but I really can sew sometimes.)
