SIGN ME UP! Question: If all 12 blocks are the same pattern, is it OK to have different colors? I have so many batik scraps, I could make 100 blocks without having to buy any fabric!

    Nonie,
I'm doing the same thing. I have a block that has a nine patch in the center, then more stuff around it [don't want to give it away], my nine patch will be scrappy but the frame, etc. will be the same throughout the 12 blocks.

Moderator: Are we correct in thinking the point is to have 12 blocks...

I'd love to join in with this - can you sign me up too? (As long as internationals are ok, of course :) ) Not sure what pattern I'd like to do yet.

I would *think* that would be better than ok, because if the set is of 12 in the same pattern per sender, the receiver is going to receive 12 blocks of all different kinds of fabric anyway...a potluck! :D

    ----------------

I can't see where it would make a difference -- as long as the pattern is the same (which, I assume, makes it easier for the moderator to sort, right?). Good idea to use up scraps for the smaller parts. I'm trying not to buy any more fabric for awhile, and need to work out of my stash. Times are getting a little tight for awhile with economy the way it is.

My batiks are only FQ so each block will be the same pattern but a variety in the same color wave and that will make it more interesting. moosegirl

Use up those scraps ladies, it will be great fun seeing all the different blocks that come in.

How many different fabrics do you want in a block?
