The colors are amazing and I loved working with them, but am not sure how to use them now. I would appreciate your opinions. :-) Oh, another thing, after prewashing them with a "color catcher," is it necessary to use a a "color catcher" with every wash?
Brenda, I don't consider batiks to be fragile in any way. I would use a color catcher only if I had some very light fabrics in the quilt that I was concerned about.

By the way, you still have plenty of time to submit another set if you want to. The mailing date is 7-15.

Thank you, Dagny. I may just do that. I bought more batik than I needed for one set and I do really love working with them. :-) Thanks for the information about batiks. That really helps. :-)

Great blocks! I am still working on mine but the picture Dagny kindly posted is a real inspiration to finish up and do another set.
    Thanks, Dagny!

This is my first swap and I have a question regarding size of blocks. How 'forgiving' are we allowed to be for blocks that are slightly less than 12.5"?

    Here is my situation:

I 've made 14 blocks so far and 9 of them are a solid 12.5".
3 of them are significantly smaller (closer to 12).
    2 are just under 12.5".

Not sure why some of them are smaller. This was a new pattern for me...first time working with triangles and the outcome has been frustrating. I like the way they look, but the sizing issue....ARGH!

I am running out of fabric and time! I completely understand if less than 12.5" at all is not acceptable, just looking for some guidance.

I've posted a photo of my blocks on Flickr.com at this link:

    Thanks!
