Batik Block Swap-Sign ups close June 30, 2010

Dragonfly & Nancy - Thanks to the wonderful advice, I now have 11 acceptable blocks and one that is still a bit shy. Once I iron them again, I will post a photo of the short one, along with exact measurements. If you are still interested and Dagney doesn't care, perhaps we can work something out. It'll likely be this weekend before I can do that...life is pulling me away from quilting......alas!

I 've made 14 blocks so far and 9 of them are a solid 12.5".
3 of them are significantly smaller (closer to 12).
2 are just under 12.5".
Not sure why some of them are smaller. This was a new pattern for me...first time working with triangles and the outcome has been frustrating. I like the way they look, but the sizing issue....ARGH!
I am running out of fabric and time! I completely understand if less than 12.5" at all is not acceptable, just looking for some guidance.
I've posted a photo of my blocks on Flickr.com at this link:

What I'm thinking I may do is to go ahead and make another block if that last one will not squish far enough. I'd only need to buy a fat quarter to go with my scraps, so not a big deal.
I'd feel better if they are all 'regulation' size.

Actually, the last block in the middle row was made by Belles, which is the name Valerie uses when on the quilting board.

Posey, I will take any of the ones you showed. They are all lovely! Just make sure you put a tag on it "for Dragonfly Nana" when you send to Dagney - Again, assuming she will approve.

Folks, I'm going to do my best to sort the blocks so that you will receive a selection that will look lovely with the block you submitted. You're going to make the task nearly impossible if you submit special requests. You're going to have to trust me here. ;)
