I'm adding you to the activity page, Alisapao, and when you choose a block, you can let me know and I'll add that also. We will accept either Ba-ticks or Ba-teeks, whichever you send. You're among friends here.

When I went into the LQS and asked for "BA- TICKS" They laughed at me. I didn't know that they were pronounced "BA-TEEKS". Certain LQS's I avoid when they can't accommodate a customer. Do we tell you the pattern, color choices, etc?

Batiks are specially processed fabric using several dye baths and wax to creature the designs or textures. At the end of the process they are rinsed in very hot water to remove the excess dye and wax. As a result they tend to be very color fast and pre-shrunk. I prewash and dry mine like-colors together. If your still skeptical, Shout makes a product called COLOR CATCHER they look like dryer sheets but they are for the wash and they trap excess dyes. (They really do work well).Hope this info helps

LOL! Thanks :) I love it!
I pronounced it wrong too but my LQS was much kinder to me. She just said "Honey, the prefered way to say it is BA-TEEK, but we all know what you mean. Follow me and we will have some fun."
I love those gals!
