Lucia, I am so sorry to hear about your mom falling. Seems like the older we get the more we are prone to falling. My dh fell off a ladder yesterday. He had to go to emergency also.

dejay, what a completely unselfish thing to do.

I have not received the July birdy. Should I be expecting it? Also, I love the campfire birdie and the Fall birdie. Can I get them also?

Jane Quilter, I know that at one time you gave the instructions for using the color in your birdie blocks. Could you explain that one again. Your's are so pretty, I just have to learn how to do that!

I know I was rude. Our hostess, barbarakibler23, introduced the monthly Birdie blocks, to keep us interested and connected and looking forward to each month even though it is not "our" birthday. Two things happened....1) I thought they were sooooo cute I could not stop and 2) my birthday month of July was looming and that is how I wanted to use my charms. So I scoured the internet and pinterest to find Barbara's source:

http://www.littlemissshabby.com/cate...rdie-stitches/ (the camping birdie is someone elses block I found on the internet.....give me some time to find it for you.) I apologize for running too fast with barbara's idea, but I do that a lot (kind of known as the earliest of early birds) . And it gets "worse".

Twelve blocks was too small a quilt for me, so I grew it to 20 blocks (8 more invented by me) that contain our family's celebrations. I was going to call the double bed size quilt: Lifes Celebration. And it gets "worser"

I made 21 blocks, and asked the family to vote, which one gets kicked to the back of the quilt? And they told me I missed some important family celebrations, and they suggested 15 more events to make it a king size quilt of 36 total Birdie Blocks. Oh Nooooooo. And the good news:

I will be able to use everyone in birthday swap to have their own block (and be short people , Yeah!)
I will have a quilt the family will actually fight over.

Is that the longest excuse you ever heard for the justification of being rude? I'm guilty......Jane Quilter
