Are all 50 candy squares a different material? Just want to make sure I am doing this correctly.

Yes. The first one I did, I kept getting mixed up and cutting 50 squares of my fabrics. But cut 35 squares from 50 different fabrics. : )

what is a QAL?

OK....I like brights.....purple, lime green, pink, tourquoise, coral best....but I like them all. The colors I like the least are mustard, olive green, and rust.

QAL stands for Quilt A Long. We did several last year, for things fun to make with the candies. The tote bag was the last one in last year's swap.

Mizmelly, your bag came out GREAT. So cute and scrappy! Can't wait to see Barb's too. Someone said they were working on one with just two colors... was it TrishB? Did you finish it Trish?

Hi ladies...just checking in with the ladies here. We have just a few more days to keep the swap open. We have 29 ladies and one thinking about joining us.

So I would plan on 30 people as you are cutting. We do have 1 birthday baby in March so make sure you are ready. I will be posting addresses on February 20th so you will have plenty of time to get your package in the mail.
