I finished a quilt for my sister. I plan on giving it to her for Christmas.

I checked in with my mom and sis in north Florida this AM. They are fine, mom is taking it as "just another day". She's funny, having been through hurricanes and tropical storms before. They have no power, but mom has water and her friend came to ride out the storm with her and brought her propane stove, battery radio and a battery charger for their cell phones. She said it wasn't raining at the moment, but still getting gusts of wind. My sister on the other hand is getting the wind worse than mom's area is, and because she has a well, has no power or water. Her husband was required to stay at the senior care center where he works all night, and my sister was alone with all the animals, so she's a bit more rattled by the storm than my mom is. But they are all fine and so far can't assess to see if there is any damage. My sister will probably have tree limbs and debris to clean up because of her property having large trees on it. Mom's doesn't have any, she lives in a retirement community on the other side of town. But happy to report that they are all fine. wondering how folks who live further south are doing? Klaws?

We are so wishing for rain this week to help cool the fires.
My heart goes out to everyone in harms way. We contributed to the Red Cross.

WMUTeach: I just found the envelope for your birthday candies (Thought I had mailed it....wrong!). I will mail today. I hope you get it by the 18th You are only one state away from me, so I am crossing my fingers.

Hello Birthday Lovers-

I am so sorry to hear about those affected by the tragic hurricanes and fires. That must be the most stressful! Someone mentioned a portable cell phone charger. I'm ordering one today. I can live without water and heat...but I must have my phone!

Barb and Red....I'd like to see a video of the dancing bunny myself! I'll keep having my husband do the mailing. Let's see what he comes up with for Barb next month!

Hi ladies. I think I'm caught up on reading the posts. I've been BUSY helping my daughter and their new addition. Today is infact my first day just me that I can remember in months!! My husband's even out of town for the weekend. I did a hot yoga class this morning, did some cleaning and laundry, and took a nap!!! Now I'm settling in with a show and fixin to knit a few rows on my new grandson's little blanket.

I did take a moment here and there to finish my September QAL. I combined the two patterns and here is my version!
