Crispy, I gave up trying to get cards that match the criteria above, laying the charms correctly in the card & wondering if it will slide through some arbitrary slot. Too protracted for me but others do it quite well!
I like to celebrate each swappers birthday & mail to them just like I would mail gifts to my family so I use a small manila envelop (dollar store 6/$1). I can get the charms, birthday/anniversary/graduation/holiday, etc. card & a few pieces of folded paper (usually patterns or pictures) for about $2.72. I may need to change my shipping method if the postage continues to rise beyond my budget. Our neighborhood has had birthday card type envelopes & legal sized envelops snatched, guess thieves think there's money in them! I write "fabric" on my shipments to thwart such nonsense. I'm sure you will figure out which shipping method suits you. I'm so glad that I am allowed to ship the way that suits my needs. Hope this helps!
    hugs,
    dj

Thanks everyone for the tips. I should know these by now. I haven't been able to get my envelope flat. I will try with next month.

I've been buying slightly larger cards, where I can get two columns of charms, with 3 rows each. Divide them up, smoosh them flat and haven't had a problem. Crispy you'll break the bank and have less to spend at your LQS if you don't figure it out soon! let me know if you'd like me to measure my cards, or take a picture of the next one when I "fill" it.

    hugs

    Hello ladies
October is the best time of the year! Even though I have been doing this for 4 years, I still get excited to open each package. I take them a tease my quilt group. Trying to get a few more to join us next year!

    Two more packages have arrived.

    Thanks to:

Moonrise sent a beautiful arrangements of squares. And an adorable baby boy charm pack. How did you know I would like to make some baby quilts to have on hand. (never know when a baby is gonna pop up)

and Redstiletoes......your charms arrived safe and sound. Lots of flowers! I love flowers!

I am making each persons package into a 12" square taking my favorite 36 from each.
    Pictures to follow.

Walked the birthday girls candies to PO. What are you going to do with the bocks? Sash or just sew together??
I just saw this pattern and think I might revamp it for our candy. has anyone done it?

TG, I think that is a very pretty quilt. I don't see why it couldn't work with our blocks. I save the pattern to my favorites listing for future projects. Thank-you for the pattern reference.
