My first thought was lilacs. MMMM I love, really love my old neighborhood in the spring just prior to Memorial Day you could walk for blocks in a constant mist of lilac scent. The trees/bushes were all shade from white to deep royal purple. Lovely.

I plant vincas in front of my house every year. They bloom continuously and come in a variety of colors. They are more hardy than impatiens.

traveling gramma: I would go but Wisconsin is a long way away to attend Wish it were next weekend. Hubby and I are going to Miami to depart on a cruise. I'd have planned an extra day to go to one!

All you in southern states have so many more choices for beautiful fragrant flowers. I am envious!

Mine are lilacs and peonies, the lilacs are all around our house in Wyoming and they smell like heaven in the summer. We do plan on going tomorrow traveling gramma so we'll see you there.
Tried my hand at this embroidery stuff, always did cross stitch. I did remember I sent my daughter in law a set of DMC floss so I went and borrowed it back from her Not the best for sure but not bad for a 1st and no hoop at least in my opinion
