My favorite flowers are Dahlias for late summer color and Helibors as second for early spring. All your choices are wonderful, I really like all the flowers nature brings us.

very nice Jaba. Love the candy squares that you picked out for this block. Your embroidery looks lovely as well.

How nice that you and Travelinggramma may meet up this weekend. Please post a picture if you do!
We will all be there in spirit with you.

Tried my hand at this embroidery stuff, always did cross stitch. I did remember I sent my daughter in law a set of DMC floss so I went and borrowed it back from her Not the best for sure but not bad for a 1st and no hoop at least in my opinion

Trish b...I had never heard of Helibors before so I had to look them up. Very cute. And how nice that they show up so early in the spring. Might have to give them a try this year. Do they flower all summer?

My question for everyone: Visually...from what you see at quilt shows., show and tells, quilt shops, magazines...what captures your heart the most: geometric pieced quilts, or applique designs? This isn't a question about our skills, just which type of quilt grabs your attention?

In my case. I do enjoy Baltimore Quilts. The little stories some of them display and the historical value just dazzles me.
