I vote they don't have to be new. Just nice enough to give away. I have received some nice patterns and specialty rulers like Deb Tuckers in gift swaps before, and though used, I was thrilled. Then again, I am easy to please. But that is my prize vote.

The last thing I remember winning was a doll when I was seven -- you know, back in the dark ages
And that wasn't even a real win -- it was a setup masterminded by my father.

Of course there was the time my boss told me I was the lucky winner of the "priviledge" to stay behind and look for bombs while everyone else was out in the parking lot.

My mind immediately jumped to fabric, then I thought about all the quilty things I have (including fabric) that are neither new nor used. Can you say "over planning" or "buyer's remorse" or "I really will get to that"? I'm planning a BIG reality check to add to the prize.
