Barb, Congratulations on your Anniversary! I've been telling my sons, husband, sisters, whoever, if they choose to give flowers to me, please give some with roots! But, alas, I still get cut flowers. It's okay. It's nice to be remembered, and the flowers do look lovely and smell nice. My husband once remarked to me that 'flowers open the heart.' They certainly do soften mine. :-) Maybe that is why flowers exist.

Armylady, my sympathy to your family.

SBG, WMUTeach, I haven't bought unbleached muslin lately. Does it still have the little tan flecks in it like it did when I was younger? How is the thread count on it? Do you buy it at JoAnn's?

I don't remember where I got this muslin... have had it a while. I know I have bought some at JoAnns in the past, so maybe this is it. It feels nice and is not loosely woven like some of the cheaper ones that are going to shrink a mile. And mine does have flecks. I prewashed it to tighten up the weave, and then pressed it.

Can't imagine how we are going to put a quilt together with these oddly numbered and sized pieces! It's surely a mystery...

Yes I think unbleached muslin will look very nice sewbizgirl.

That usually looks good with scrap quilts. Leap of faith here... Barb do you think it will work ok?

Sorry you have to wait a week for your treatment to start Jaba. I am sure the waiting is really hard.

I was all psyched up to start chemo and radiation yesterday, phone rang 40 minutes before the appt. and they tell me the machine was down. Now it's next Monday....chemo has to be 5 consecutive days. Disappointing or a blessing not sure which...…
Happy Anniversary Barb! Have a wonderful day and a well earned week off I'm sure.

Is IceLeopard's the 6th or the 16th, and which address should we mail to?

Does Ice Leopard live in Maryland or Oregon?
