So ....since it has been so hot and humid. and very hard to breathe outside I have been spending a lot of time in my nicely finished cool basement.
Laying low and doing some organizing and tossing and shredding....you have the idea.
I came across this piece of info....thought this was interesting.....
Did you know that with ONE full size Jelly Roll you can.....bind 5 twin size quilts
or....bind 4 queen size quilts
or....bind 3 king size quilts
OR cut 640 2.5" squares!!!!!!!!
and more.............................with a 5" square you can get 4 ....2.5" squares
with a 10" square you can get 16....2.5" squares
with a 2.5" x 42" strip you can get 16...2.5" squares
with a fat eighth you can get 24....2.5" squares
with a fat quarter you can get 56.....2.5" squares.
When I look around at all my uncut scraps I think I have 298,876,376,394,987,209,387,445,908

I know I have a lot but.....NOOOOOOO! Not that many. I have been doing my best to clear the way for my September blessings.
They there quilty friends.....Do any of you have an interesting pattern that uses a Layer Cake?. I have 5 of them and would like to do something more than just collect them or cut them into scraps.

But, I think you could choose any block you like, stack the 10" pieces, cut out part of the pieces to the block pattern, then use a solid or blender for the other pieces of the block.
