[QUOTE=barbarakibler23;8100909]WMUTeach......when I first laid out my quilt I thoright I was missing a 9 patch too....then I found 2 stuck together. And yes I went and made a 9 patch thinking I was short one. ☹️

Good idea. I will dash to check to see if any stuck together. I was SURE I had all of the block made precisely as directed. Either way, a good challenge and a true mystery.

Because I make lap quilts that run about 45" x 60", I really only need to make the center panel. Could some kind soul tell me the dimensions on this one once it's sewn? If my calculations are right, it should be about 34" x 51."

I agree with your measurements. Anyone else?

Woo Hoo! I finished sewing the mystery together. I was glad that it wasn't any bigger because it was challenging to keep the blocks oriented correctly, but I didn't do any unsewing. Now no one is allowed to find any mistakes!

This is my first mystery. I never thought I'd want to do one, but this was alot of fun! Thank you Barb for all of your hard work.

There are two quilts ahead of this one to get quilted so that won't happen for a while.

IceLeopard the measurements on my center is 34" x 51."

Thanks for the latest photo. I am still struggling a bit but I have begun sewing the pieces together. I am also determined to get this skill under my belt, into my tool box and as part of my wheelhouse. Back to the machine!

JENNR8R, It looks like it's reeeeally big! :-) I like how you created it-- the blocks are different, and they aren't all lined up straight-- it makes it really unique. Nice job! Thanks for sharing.
