That will be nice! What color are you going to do the strips? That would make a cool baby blanket- hint, mom.

I think that is a fantastic idea! Will it be strictly B&W or will you add another color or colors? I can't wait to see how it turns out! I am still mulling over mine. The only things I am sure of is that it will be B&W and bright coral! That's all I know! Yikes!!!

I am going to use white strips still, but might add in a thin border of kelley green as well :)

I just got back from the Puyallup, WA Sew Expo. I had black and white on my mind. I found an nice pattern I thought would work for our bricks. A-Maz-Ing by Kaye Wood. (www.kayewood.com) She demonstrated the ruler and making the quilt and of course made it look easy. Actually it really seems easy.

Eleanor Burns shared her Day & Night quilt (along with many others) and eeeaaaasssssy! Now I'm leaning more towards Eleanor's. It was one we all oooooo'd over! Beautiful! I'm sure you can see it on her web site.

Enjoyed both of these ladies as well as many other wonderful quilters! Happy quilting!

So does that mean that your bricks will not be bricks anymore?
Are you cutting them into another shape?
Are we allowed to do that? Maybe I should check out the websites you suggested before asking those questions! I am familiar with the night and day patern and that's not brick-shaped so that's the source of my confusion. Yikes!

I think if I stick with Kaye Wood's quilt I have to cut the bricks in half (length wise) to sew some strips together and I'm leaning toward this one today. But subject to change as I get nearer to starting it. I have also some beautiful pic's from our Sisters, OR quilt show of black and white quilts and if I can find the patterns there are a few more possibilities.

I never thought of keeping them in bricks. What does everyone else think? I was thinking along the lines of black and white whatever pattern we pick.
