BLACK AND WHITE SAMPLER SWAP
#171
Wow there are so many pretty squares already. There will be some beautiful quilts made from them. This is the first time I have had time to look and I love all of them Tslowery, both of your new ones are beautiful . Also the black and white quilt pictures , liked all of the blocks in it. Just hope I can do as well, a little bit nervous here, but looking forward to it. Went to the web site and couldn't believe how many squares they have, great site. I am leaning towards Magic Square if that is alright and no one else is doing it.
Thanks

Woo Hoo! Congrats. :D
Mine hasn't come yet and I have vowed to not break into the 6 different black and whites I got a few weeks ago for a specific quilt. I'll just have to wait for the new stuff and hope it comes tomorrow.

pittsburgpam. I saw the material that you ordered and it is beautiful. Hope to look for some tomorrow at Hobby Lobby. They don't have a large selection here, but will keep my fingers crossed. Can't wait to see your blocks with that material.

Well, have done one block, what a mission! I'm a little undecided now if I can actually get 12 of these produced (this one is a test and it's a whole 1/8th shy of the 12 1/2)
The first one was bound to be more difficult, especially with no pattern to follow, so I expect they would get easier. And the beauty of it is there's no points on the outside line so putting it with another block will be a breeze.

I would like to join in the B. and W. exchange. Prairie Queen would be my choice of block from Quilters cache.com. I don't know how to put the web sight up. Sorry. Hope I'm not to late. I enjoyed the Blue and White exchange so much!

I'd like to join but you are all scaring me with those fancy blocks. How about a plain old checkerboard? Would that be okay? What fun this sounds like! Where are you two from North Carolina? My daughter is in Greensboro.

Since the left and bottom pieces don't really need to tie into anything else on the outside you could make those strips wider/longer and then square it up to 12 1/2".
I know what you mean about doing a complicated block though. I chose a simple one because doing one of them is really easy... doing a dozen is a whole 'nother story.

I'm still very undecided though.... it's the time that's the problem.
