BLACK AND WHITE SAMPLER SWAP

maybe i better not this time then cause i'm not sure enough of myself on piecing a block and you're right, an embroidery block and probably an applique block both would not look good on the kind of quilt everybody is doing. so i'll have to practice doing some pieced blocks and maybe can get good enough to join in on the next one. i'll be looking forwarding to seeing and reading all about your blocks though, everybody here does such beautiful work.

do a simple block.
i would be so disappointed if people didn't join because they feel their work isn't worthy to be part of the quilts.
you can do a 9 patch or a disappearing 9 patch - these are very simple blocks to do.
if you're worried about points in blocks just choose something that doesn't use triangles.
i'm sure we can find a block that you'll feel comfortable with and there's so many people involved that we can have 2 people producing the same block.
it would look different because we're all using different fabrics.

Donna ~ don't give up! A pieced block can be as simple or as elaborate as you choose. If you want some suggesstions on an easy block to piece I am sure that you will get many suggestion.
Here are a couple that would be easy to piece:
http://www.quilterscache.com/N/NinePatchBlock.html
http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CalicoPuzzleBlock.html
Quilters Cache has many blocks with one stick pin next to the name meaning it's an easy or beginners block. Give it a try we would welcome your attempt. I look forward to seeing your block.

dojo,
http://www.quilterscache.com/A/Arrow...zzleBlock.html
This would look good in white/grey/black
http://www.quilterscache.com/B/BasketWeaveBlock.html
http://www.quilterscache.com/C/CarrieNationBlock.html
Go take a look and like marty_mo said, look for the 1 stickpin patterns.
