Everyone whos shown they're blocks so far - theyre all great. :D :D :D

I'm really glad theres so many people taking part too, especially people joining for the first time. The blue and white stars was my first swap and I really enjoyed it. And dont worry about doing simple blocks - it just allows space for quilting patterns on. Its easy to get too much pattern when everyone starts doing intricate designs. I'd be more than happy to receive some simpler blocks. :-) :-)

Just got my fabrics in the mail. Unfortunately, the mostly black one has off white in it - it looked like white online. It just doesn't go with the other fabrics I picked. Oh well, looks like I'll have to buy more black!

I have just photographed the fabrics and want your opinions about the off-white ones.

Do I or do I not include them?????

This one has off-white, grey and mottled black/grey

Only the middle one is bright white

Here again the middle one is a bright white background

Teresa, I think your fabrics look great!
The problem with my black was it really wasn't even off white, it was a definite tan color. Just didn't go with the others that I picked.

    Colletakay,
I would like to join this black & white block swap. It will be my first time to participate & I am looking forward to it. I made this sample block today & want to make sure that it will be acceptable, for the swap.
    Thanks for looking!!

Teresa, my own opinion is that the off-white would actually add to the depth of the block. My vote would be to add it. This is fun, isn't it? I'm going to do two sample blocks tonight because I can't decide which one to use.....
