I got the first twelve done!!!!!
I am on a roll so I think I am going to go for it and make a second set!!!
That way I get more of these amazing squares in exchange!!!
The only problem I have is a whiny husband! He got ... ready for it... Chicken Pox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I have him home with me this week! Lucky lucky me!!! So much for getting any more sewing done right away!
I will post a picture of the first set later tonight. I am being called!

Take good care of hubby. Chicken Pox in adults can be serious.

right, chicken pox can be serious in adults. i had them when i was 60 years old and got quite sick and miserable with them. i itched so bad and some got infected, had to take antibiotics etc etc, no fun. if he itches real bad, get some oatmeal bath stuff, they make it especially for that, that eased mine more than anything and put calamine lotion on too.

and how long ago was that, dojo? Why did I think you were a young twenty something?
I had shingles a couple of years ago and I was in agony for three days. A week or so later the rash came out and it didn't bother me at all.
A full blown case of chicken pox must be horrible in an adult. I hope he feels better soon. Men can be such babies when they are sick.

I too have finished my first set of shoo fly blocks!

I'm going to start the second block I chose and see how I like it. I don't like the way it was done on quilters cache only because it needs to be in a set of the same blocks to appreciate the pattern. It's not what I call a stand alone block. I have an idea that I think will work out great so I'll give it a try tonight.

Tomorrow I must do some yard work so minimal sewing I hope! :D
After the yard work is done I will get back to sewing.
    :-)

Skeat, that is a really pretty block! Hope I get one of those!

Here is the start of my 2nd set...its called Betty's Delight. I don't think Betty would be too thrilled with one of my points though. I'm not sure I can actually get it much better. You put the block together almost all on the BIAS!! I like the block though.

Should I go ahead and just ignore the one point and try to do better on the others...or do ya'll think I should take it apart and do it over. Usually if I take apart triangles...I'm better off just to throw them away... So....what do ya'll think?

BTW...they are white on white..don't know why the color showed up like that.
