oooh... Yellow sound so lovely! I've been wondering what color to use. I know red looks so good, however, I would rather do something a bit different.

I agree - none of these blocks are plain. The prints that are being used are making each one beautiful!

Pat8e8 - I love your picture (avatar). Your dogs look so sweet, it just makes me want to hug your dogs.

Our town's school colors are orange and black so I'm thinking of setting with orange. Maybe an orange and black print.

Thank you, Pat. I'm not sure what color I'm going to use with my blocks. Oh, did I say my blocks?! My DD has laid claim to these and I will of course let her choose the color she wants with the blocks. I'm so glad we're doing the b/w swap. My DD has a hard time with quilts not matching, all the different prints and the like, but she loves the b/w blocks and I've been searching for a quilt to make for her. She also let's me know that I have made three for Landon, my one and only grandchild, so far! :D

OK, I have my first 12 blocks finished.

Would it be "cheating" to make a set of snowball blocks??

Cheat away...lol. Of course not we welcome any and all blocks...however I think we would draw a line at a solid square of fabric...lol. Humnn now that's a thought I can just send in a square of fabric for my second set. :D ~ kidding.

Ooohhhh...more pretty blocks!! I'm still loving them all...I haven't seen any "plain" ones yet.. :D

I'm thinking about doing some applique in fall colors for a center section and laying the blocks out to surround it somehow..maybe for my Dad's wife..she doesn't like colors....very weird...I agree..but this may work for her.

Hi liwilliams, the black dog is Dodger, my baseball loving DD named him. He is 13 yrs. old now and was getting lonely because our other dog went to doggy heaven, so we adopted Sally. Was taking pics to send to relatives when Sally kissed Dodge, so thought that was a darling picture.
