July 1st? How did I get June 1st in my head? I may have time to do another set once I move into my new room.

OMG!! I thought it was June 1st too!!! I just looked at the first message and it is JULY!!! Here I was killing myself yesterday to get them done!

Dang... now I really have time to get another set done. I was wondering why there seemed to be so few posts about ones that had been received so far.

Pam ~ nice blocks. I especially like the ones with the white tone on tone.

I usually sew the little HSTs that are going to be cut off at the same time I sew the 'real' ones. you can iron them later, but this saves all that 'picking up and matching' the 2nd time around.

Question to those of you who have already mailed squishies to Coletta: did you use prestamped mailers? I think the PO has them, but haven't checked it out yet. We talked about these on another thread during the winter - I think you can pack them as full as you want without it costing extra - tho' maybe that was just the prestamped boxes.

I finished my 1st set of blocks - instead of Wild Geese, I'm calling it Tamed Zebra. I'm REALLY tired of HSTs. I'm doing another set of 12 using the zebra stripe fabric, but with paper-piecing. It will have a Wild Geese theme WITHOUT HSTs.
When you make HSTs with a striped fabric, you wind of with about 1/2 in one direction, and the rest in the other direction.
This is the first time I've attached a picture - hope it works!

7 in one direction, 5 in the other

I wish I had known that YESTERDAY! At least it prompted me to get them done and I don't have to worry about it anymore. Unless I decide to make another set.
