You guys are making me crazy!! I am chomping at the bit to sign up and get started but can't get my fabrics til DH gets paid on the 25th. The good news is my DD has a basketball tournament that weekend about an hour from here - so while we are across the water I can visit a great quilt shop that I don't usually get to shop in!! That is if I can keep myself from ordering something online as soon as his check hits the bank-LOL! Love all the blocks and fabrics I have seen so far!

These are the ones I only had enough fabric for 10 blocks

pjaco..that was the same problem that I had, blocks coming up 1/4 short. patiis47 told me about the scant 1/4" and know my blocks are the right size(see page 7). Very pretty blocks.

I have the same problem, that is why I started machine piecing. Mine would bother me so much it would wake me at night from a sound sleep....that is not fun.

I do understand...it has gone up into the shoulders this time, so I dislike admitting...gonna have to start using longarm quilters for the majority, makes me feel old .

We welcome all, we really have alot of fun doing the swaps with Deb. She made me promise to be nice to new people signing up so I don't scare them away. So I will tell you I will bug you to see your fabric and your 1st completed block, I don't mean to be pushy; just curious, interested, nosey, excited, and all those other words.... . And it is all done in the name of fun... :-D :-D :-D

Nope oat, I took it all apart and recut the black blocks, then went a little short on the 1/4" and waalaa! I love to hand sew though...but just had to try it again. I have a queen quilt that I did all the blocks by hand...it is how I learned to piece.
