I never wash my fabrics, except for the rare occasion when a batik looks a little dodgy.

But because it's in the rules, I've begrudgingly washed the fabrics for the swaps I've been involved in through this board.

Begrudgingly no more! I threw the blue I'm planning on using in the machine, waited for it to fill then opened the lid to chuck some soap in and the water was a gorgeous shade of electric blue!! The fabric has run like you wouldn't believe!

I'm glad I didn't have the yellow in there too!

I'm so glad I haven't used this blue in anything yet. Funny thing is, I haven't used it because I love the colour so much I didn't want to "waste" it! lol

Won't be using it for this swap, will use another blue I think.

LOL I know what you mean about taking a liking to a certain fabric.

Maybe you could use this particular blue with other tones of blues together in a quilt, thats what I'd do.

    That's a good idea.

It does worry me a little, I wonder what else I bought from the same supplier.

Now thats a job & a half if you can remember your a very lucky girl LOL. I usually ask for a card when I buy my fabrics & pop it back in with the fabrics after I've washed them LOL.

It's a senior moment thing LOL.

I've been having a few of those senior moments myself lately! LOL

I might go through and wash all my batiks I think. As soon as the weather is a little more stable, we're still in winter here.

I received Ducky's blocks today! That makes 7 sets received so far and we have 40 sets tentatively signed up.
