How is everyone doing on their blocks? I working on mine this week and will hopefully get them done before we go on vacation the 16th-20th. If not I'll finish them up the last week of August.

Don't forget the mailing deadline is Aguust 31st!

I have the fabric washed and ironed and starched. I was thinking it was August 15th and that I might not make it. I have so many things that are nagging at me to get them done and it makes me have a low level of anxiety, like it's always in the back of my mind.

I also haven't totally decided on a block! I'm glad to know it's the end of August because I still need the time.

I'm working on mine between family functions but I will make the mailing deadline. DD and family are here from japan, on their way to Las Vegas (Air Force).

She and I are working on our family reunion quilt for Saturday. I expect it done by Wed. I have all the ohio star blocks cut out and in process of sewing and everything else laid out. I'm showing her how to chain sew and she's impressed so I'm sure she will help me with the blocks once we are done with the quilt.

Her hubby leaves this Thurs. so we are trying to get a trip in for a coal mine tour and train ride (did the amusement park yesterday) for Wed. and then Sat. is family reunion. Once that's over, we can relax and sew.

I'll be on track to mail that last week of August.

I've finished 6 of my first set and will finish the other 6 this week. I'm hoping that in the meantime some fabric will arrive for a second set, and then I will sew very, very fast to get the second set done on time!
