A good friend went into the woods and found maple saplings, cut them, and aged them. Then he made it for me. I can get two across but that is how it looked this am from my chair. I love it!

It IS a little quiet here but then I think there's a bit of a lull between groups. It usually happens so I'm sure things will pick up down the road a bit. This group's blocks aren't due until October so everyone can afford to take things at a leisurely pace.

Hope all is well with everyone. Enjoy your weekend.

Hello everyone. After a hectic 10 days with grandchildren, my mom has been at our home on wheels. Yesterday we took a ride to Lancaster PA and just had to stop at the reopened Old Country Store. Purchased black, white on white, and antique white to go with some of your blocks. Just love browsing in the quilt shops and seeing all the beautiful handiwork. Next week, when mom goes home, will get out the sewing machine and work on those remaining blocks.

I am just loving the blocks you all have made for me. I love that they all look so whimsical. Just so much fun. Thank you all so much.
Been busy getting my house ready for the kids from down under to come visit with their Mum (my daughter) So I decided to reorganize my walk in closet to accommodate some more fabric that I had sitting in boxes in my bedroom. LOL....this was like opening up Pandora's box. I am now on day three. I will admit that organizing the yarns that were in there has been very successful. Each color is in a box of their own. Now I am putting the material boxes back in. Of course I have to organize each box and look at all the material.....you guys know how that goes.....you have to touch and caress and dream of what you would make with it. Well onward and upward.

Glad you like it, Sunrise. Despite how the picture looks, it really is solid black. Kona black, in fact. Personally, I think it's the best solid black on the market.
