Calling all quilters! I have fabric that didn't fit the requirements of the swap due to needing certain blocks for a quilt but if anyone would like to do a side swap please PM me! I want one of four blocks, they are two easy blocks from quilters cache and two easy/medium quilts (ie wild cats) from the swap. I would be glad to trade with you and make you a block of your easy/medium easy level quilting. PM me if interested! thanks so much! next time I will be more flexible and hope to fit in the picture of things here! one day at a time.

I made this block for Katskid. Hope its ok! Now to reach in and grab another block! Have grandkids and great grandkids coming next week for 4 days so wont get any done while they are here and will probably be going thru a little withdrawal everytime I see the envelope! LOL

Holy cow you ladies are FAST! And wonderful, all kinds of beautiful blocks already. I have patterns picked out for 4 blocks and some fabrics washed and I felt like I was doing good hahahaha. I love my block Jaba thank you.
Ok one more cup of coffee make breakfast and pack a lunch for mr Bill and off to my room I am going to get some finished today.
And while on the subject of pre washing I would love to not have to do that step so if you are taking votes I vote to remove that rule. I will always do my very best to follow the guidelines as they are set up but if I have a choice I choose not to prewash.

I planned to ask you this later but how do you all feel about the prewashing rule? I kept it from previous Booms and never thought to change it until someone questioned it earlier in sign-ups. Frankly, I don't prewash fabric EXCEPT for these booms.
What do you do as a matter of routine? And why? i'm curious to know if you think this is a rule that should be kept, dropped or left to each person's own discretion?
And if you are too busy playing with your fabrics to answer now, don't give it a thought. I'll ask again at a later time when things calm down for you.
Happy Stitching!

If there is a vote coming up then I would vote for no pre washing unless for bright colors or you felt the need to. I use a color catcher if I am in doubt.

Beautiful blocks Jaba, Joanelizbay, & terriamn. I've made my 1st block for sunrise, will post later.
I'd vote for not washing except for reds. That's the only color I've found where a few have run with the color.

Okay, here's what I've done this morning. Talk about YUMMY fabric..we got it this time, Ladies.
First one is for sunrise450. It's "Cups and Saucers". I do not like orange but you're changing my mind.
Second one is for Mosher92. It's "Star in the Pond". Love this one, I'm a sucker for purple anyway.
Third one is for Joanelizbay. It's "Cups and Saucers". I love the white with this one. Makes it pop.
