Has anyone but me envisioned a block and then when you sat down to sew it you realized you cut the pieces wrong and have to go back and "envision" another block? Yep, twice this boom. But I'm not going to tell which ones :-)

    Here are my weekend blocks.

    My efforts this weekend,

Well some things went better than others and I have 4 more to show Gaijiin, Buzzy Bee, Jaba and seasaw2much.

My most interesting challenged occurred when I had laid out some cut blocks, some pattern ideas with the coordinating patterns and preferences for your blocks on my staging area (kingsize bed in the guest room). Iwanted to let the idea marinade and come back to look. I had errands to run so I left it to see it with fresh eyes later. Have I told you how wonderful our weather has been? My windows and doors are open 24-7 it's been an amazing spring. Well while I was gone the wind kicked up with gusto normally not a problem but oh no all the windows are still open and I had not pinned anything. Nor did I take any pictures, I came home to what looked like a mini hurricane there were pieces and parts and little scraps of paper strewn about everywhere. I almost cried :-(

I was also working on a quilt binding for a wedding gift quilt its sewn to the front now I just need to make myself sit down and get the hand work done.

I spent some quality time with my seam ripper trying to get my blocks right and on my quilt binding oh well it's all part of the process.*

Probably will not get anymore done in the next few days but I'm feeling good about where I am already having these finished

AZKat more often than I like admitting too.

Also guys I swear my blocks are straighter than they appear and my points are mostly victims of my cropping and resizing skills while they are not perfect they are mostly better than they appear.

Yep every block I touched yesterday had to be redone, either I sewed it together backwards or it just didn't line up right. I only had to do one re-cut though and I'm glad I had enough fabric to fix it. This is what happens when I get ahead of myself so I'm slowing down a bit today.

Oh and the block you make for me is perfect! Thanks

I agree Joan! Love the Blocks you have made for me AZKat and Billi!

Thank goodness I left the quilting room and went to the kitchen before the worst of the scrambling of the stars happened. The birthday cake fell! Whhaaaatttt? I haven't had a cake fall in 10 years. (Maybe because it was a gluten-free receipe )I burned the Boston Butt....never!....and the dry cleaners was closed or family vacation (hasn't happened ever before)!

I am afraid to go back to sewing today......

I am so thrilled with the blocks made for me so far! Billi, the 3 stars you included are very special to me for many reasons! Thank you both..I can see this quilt coming together!

    Getting busy again!
