Back home from my growth group and running errandsl. Had to dig out my boots from winter storage as well as my insulated mittens. I was bundled from head to toe and just running rom my car to the house or stores brought tears to my eyes and was chilled to the bone. The funny thing is the sun is shining brightly. Last winter went on and on and we had record cold snaps made me wonder why anyone lived here. Our usual winters have a few sub zero days. Prefer this to heat and humidity. Nothing makes me crankier then hot humid weather.

I'm reposting the pic. The colors are better but still not right. The more i shrunk the pic, the duller it seemed to become. Anyway, Terri, this is more like it.

Here is Linda's block. Linda your fabric has my favorite colors in it. Just love it. Second is Travelinggramma, the teal in her fabric is the same color of the quilt I'm working on for my oldest granddaughter

Looks like you ladies are moving right along. Nice blocks!!!!!
I've got 4 done but haven't gotten pictures yet as I'm trying to sew as much as I can.

I was informed last night that I have about a week before the DIL and Baby move back in. Gee I thought they were staying with her parents until she moves up to N Dakota but it looks like that has changed again. I did tell her that I'm NOT moving my stuff again, she will just have to work around it. So now I'm the mean grandma, so be it! LOL

Anyway, I have a question for all of you, do you like applique? and If I do decide to go that route, are you Ok with it.
I heard some say they preferred not to have applique so I want to be sure I don't do it for the wrong person. I know Bee Beatty said it was ok but I want to be sure about every ones else.

I love applique. I would be very happy to have some blocks made that way. As long as it finishes at 12 1/2", I'll be happy with any method someone chooses to make for me.
