ljdugas, I swear we could walk in a fabric shop and pick the same fabric....I love your choice, could have sewn with it forever. Hope I didn't drool all over it
I know I do love that fabric. I always go for the fabric with purple in it. Thanks I love my block.

Thanks Billi, didn't stress as much picking blocks this time. With all the beautiful large designs I didn't want to cut up the designs but rather showcase them. For me that means trying to use a block that has a 6" center.

This is my first block for this Boom. It is Bird of Paradise from Quilters Cache. The colors in the photo are really vibrant...much more subdued in real time. Love seeing all the blocks and love the blocks made for me by Boomers. Adds so much variety and spirit to the quilt. Now back to the sewing room to finish up a couple more.

    Love swapping!

It's mine, it's mine! I saw these fabrics in person and they are very pastel. Thanks Bee

One of my good friends came over Fri night and brought some of her husbands shirts. He died about a year ago and she was asking if I could use them to make a memory quilt...Had to say yes but NO idea when Ill get it done. I had made her and Ted a quilt when they got married 20 years ago and she also brought it. She was cleaning out her shed and discovered mice had chewed on it some ...Ive never repaired a quilt before but Ill try to figure it out.. Like I don't have so many projects now! LOL..maybe it IS time to retire?? One of our residents at the nursing home had a hUGH pink channel bedspread and it was too big for her bed at the home so asked if I could cut it off for her and hem it up...hardest darn stuff to sew on Ive used in a LONG time but its done...hope it fits her bed now! Other than that Ive got ALL the blocks cut out for this group, all but 4 finished..will take pictures sometime this week..Great weekend!!
